Packed in her suitcases are lots of dolls to hand out to the little girls in Las Conchas. Last year, we saw this little girl holding onto her doll and we realized that we don't see many, if any dolls. So thanks to my mother who frequents garage sales, Courtney is armed and ready to hand out baby dolls to the little girls. Just a sweet gesture to say we care. And we care because Jesus cares for us. Please keep my baby in your prayers this week. My prayer is that God moves and stirs in her heart showing her more of Himself as she sees old friends and spreads the gospel in Guatemala!

Early, really early, (3:30am) Courtney will be checking in at the Nashville Airport for a mission trip to Guatemala. She is excited! Although the very early hour will not look so happy when she gets up.

It's been a while....the mission continues
Crazy Busy is how I would describe this last school year. We have had so many challenges that we have barely had time to breathe. (barely kidding) Besides the kid stuff which was on steroids this year, Mitch's father passed away in November, Mitch had surgery 2 weeks ago, I had surgery 5 weeks ago, Courtney graduated from High School 3 weeks ago, Carli graduated from 8th grade 4 weeks ago etc.. It's been NUTS. American kind of nuts. We still have plenty of food and clean water. We still have an excellent education to offer our children. And despite the changing health care, we still receive very good medical care. I often think of my friends in Guatemala who live day to day concerned over these basic needs. This year Courtney is going back to Guatemala June 21-28. She is the only member of the Cone Family going and she is excited about it! Please, PLEASE pray for her. I know that my Guatemalan friends will take care of her but there was a recent shooting in the Las Conchas community which makes things a little more scary for me!
